Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Timekeeping and Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at IMP Aerospace & Defence. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing Timekeeping & Accounts Payable support to all Aerospace Branches, including CSH & HP.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process payroll and timekeeping duties with accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Respond to employee inquiries regarding employee time records, ensuring compliance with all HR and Corporate policies, procedures, programs, and collective agreements.
  3. Maintain confidential, accurate, and up-to-date employee files.
  4. Track employee clinical appointments, overtime banking, and vacation requests with precision.
  5. Perform electronic voucher matching and liaise with Purchasing regarding PO Variances.
  6. Liaise with the payroll department on related employee issues.
  7. Prepare reports as required and perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  1. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years accounting experience.
  2. Experience in a payroll function would be considered an asset.
  3. Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  4. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
  6. Ability to take initiative and follow through with projects and meet deadlines.
  7. Experience with JD Edwards and Autotime would be considered an asset.
  8. Strong working knowledge of all required MS Office software, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  9. Incumbents must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
