CancerCare Manitoba President and Chief Executive Officer

CancerCare Manitoba is a leading cancer control agency in Canada, operating a Manitoba-wide program of cancer control and blood disorder management. The organization is closely affiliated with the University of Manitoba, major academic health sciences centres, and the province's regional health authorities.

The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the strategic leadership of CancerCare Manitoba, providing direction to the organization's clinical, research, education, and community outreach enterprises. The CEO is the chief representative of CancerCare Manitoba to affiliated institutions and all other relevant bodies at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in a senior leadership role, with experience in a large tertiary academic health care organization. They will be an exceptional communicator with a collaborative and collegial style, able to build and develop positive and productive relationships within CancerCare Manitoba and with its many provincial and national partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to CancerCare Manitoba
  • Develop and implement organizational plans and policies
  • Represent CancerCare Manitoba to affiliated institutions and other relevant bodies
  • Build and maintain relationships with provincial and national partners

Qualifications:

  • Strong track record of success in a senior leadership role
