About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunication Line Technician to join our team at GN Systems Inc. as a Communication Network Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, as well as climbing and working aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
  • Cable Management: Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets, as well as splice, join, and connect wires.
  • Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
  • Transportation and Travel: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check is required.
  • Health Benefits: Dental plan, health care plan, and vision care benefits are offered.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
