Physiotherapist - Med/Surg/Cancer Care Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in a tertiary care setting. As a member of our clinical team, you will collaborate with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participate in the evaluation of team effectiveness, and share responsibilities.
You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. You will also educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management.
The incumbent may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio. Physiotherapists work on weekends in many areas of the hospital.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university. Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists is also required. Computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Microsoft Outlook, are necessary. Annual Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification are also required.
Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French being preferred. Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.
HoursThis is a long assignment, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The position works shifts over a 6-day per week schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation and IncentivesThe hourly rate for this position is $33.97 - $42.89. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
