Physiotherapist - Med/Surg/Cancer Care Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in a tertiary care setting. As a member of our clinical team, you will collaborate with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participate in the evaluation of team effectiveness, and share responsibilities.
You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. Your expertise will also be utilized to educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management.
The successful candidate will provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students, as well as supervision of physiotherapy assistants and aides. This role may require providing services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.
About YouWe are looking for a highly qualified Physiotherapist with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university. Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists is also required. Computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Microsoft Outlook, are essential. Annual Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification are also necessary.
Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset. Please ensure your resume is up-to-date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.
HoursThis is a long-term assignment with a full-time position, requiring 75 hours bi-weekly. The assignment is approximately 12 months in duration. The successful candidate will work shifts over a 6-day per week schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation and IncentivesThe hourly rate for this position is $33.97 - $42.89. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
