About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Orangebird Building Maintenance Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the upkeep of our outdoor spaces.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct thorough assessments to determine resource requirements and budget for projects.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure necessary resources to support ongoing operations and projects.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
Work Environment

This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, ensuring the ability to adapt to changing environmental factors.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience in grounds maintenance or a related field.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, initiative, judgement, and a strong team player attitude.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
