Farm Operations Manager

Olds Oasis Organic Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm workers and ensuring the efficient production of high-quality crops.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the work of farm workers and harvesting laborers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Develop and implement soil fertility programs to maintain optimal soil health and crop yields.
- Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting to maintain crop health and quality.
- Maintain quality control and production records to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Hire and train staff to ensure a skilled and efficient workforce.
- Perform general farm duties as required to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a physically demanding workload.
- Be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Be able to combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
- Be organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work a 30-40 hour workweek with a permanent work term.
- Be fluent in English.
