Job Summary

JobCart Inc is seeking a skilled Millwright - Food Industry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Operations: Work rotational shifts, including nights, to maintain equipment and ensure production continuity.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial and mechanical equipment, including preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document maintenance work, including shift logbook entries and work order completion.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with maintenance coordinators, other maintenance leaders, and production teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright License, previous completion of an apprenticeship preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in food manufacturing, with a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Skillset: Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy machinery, work at heights, and withstand various environmental conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industrial Electrician License: Possession of an Industrial Electrician license, with a minimum of 3 years of local electrician experience in Canada from within a food plant manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical circuitry, PLCs, maintenance shop machinery, and electronics, as well as knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes.
