About the Role

This exciting opportunity is available with the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General, seeking a qualified individual to join the team as a Caretaker - Maintenance and Cleaning Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cleaning and maintenance services for grounds, interior, and exterior of buildings and vehicles.
  • Arrange for building and vehicle repairs, and perform basic repairs and maintenance of operating systems, furniture, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Ability to pass an OPP background/security investigation.
  • Possess a valid Class G Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of building operations and mechanical systems, including heating, cooling, water, alarm systems, and electrical systems.
  • Understanding of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
  • Basic computer skills to utilize programs such as Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Arithmetic skills to calculate and estimate repair costs.
  • Written communication skills to complete requisitions for equipment/supplies and maintenance materials.
