Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Island View Place Care. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Support Worker will assist patients with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and maintain a safe and clean environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including walking, standing, and lifting patients
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed staff
  • Document patient care and progress
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a healthcare aide program or equivalent experience
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
