Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Manager, the Occupational Therapist conducts thorough evaluations of patients referred for therapy and formulates individualized treatment plans. These plans may encompass a variety of interventions, including but not limited to: the provision of suitable aids and adaptations; ensuring the availability of equipment for optimal seating; maintaining skin health through appropriate equipment; offering cognitive engagement activities; and delivering training for activities of daily living (A.D.L.). The Occupational Therapist is dedicated to upholding the professional standards set by the College of Occupational Therapists and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a safe and ethical manner. The role requires adherence to the professional scope of practice and active participation in both discipline-specific and interdisciplinary initiatives aimed at fostering a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Valid BCLS Certification, maintained throughout employment
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Proven capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for report preparation, result interpretation, and training provision
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Consistent attendance and availability are essential
