Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineering Lead to join our team at Spire Global, Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our hardware designs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the design and development of our hardware systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
  3. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans.
  4. Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production processes and high-quality products.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our hardware designs and processes.
Requirements
  1. Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware engineering, with a focus on electrical or mechanical design.
  3. Proven track record of leading hardware design teams and delivering high-quality products.
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Skills
  1. Experience with CAD design tools, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
  2. Knowledge of PCB design and layout, including schematic capture and PCB layout software.
  3. Experience with manufacturing processes, including PCB assembly and testing.
  4. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, including circuit analysis and design.
