We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineering Lead to join our team at Spire Global, Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our hardware designs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of our hardware systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production processes and high-quality products.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our hardware designs and processes.
- Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware engineering, with a focus on electrical or mechanical design.
- Proven track record of leading hardware design teams and delivering high-quality products.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Experience with CAD design tools, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Knowledge of PCB design and layout, including schematic capture and PCB layout software.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, including PCB assembly and testing.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, including circuit analysis and design.
