About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at COBS Bread - Oak Bay. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and sweet goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Baking and Production: Bake mixed dough and batters, prepare special orders, and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Quality Control: Operate machinery, draw up production schedules, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Skills: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and tight deadlines.
Work Environment
