Position Overview:
The Loss Control Inspector will operate primarily in urban centers across Northern Alberta, with the flexibility to travel to rural and remote locations. Your role will involve identifying and assessing equipment-related risks, pinpointing areas for improvement, and effectively communicating your insights both internally and to our clients. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues will be essential, with a focus on risk mitigation and exceptional customer service. This position is home-based, and a company vehicle will be provided.
Service Area:
Edmonton and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expertise in equipment breakdown loss prevention through routine inspections, risk assessments, claims investigations, and other assigned tasks.
- Evaluate commercial and industrial sites featuring equipment such as HVAC systems, boilers, pressure vessels, and production machinery.
- Manage your designated territory efficiently while meeting productivity targets.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of HSB Canada's service portfolio.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or operations, including production, power generation, or refrigeration.
- Experience with boilers and pressure vessels is advantageous.
- Post-secondary technical education is required.
- A background in Marine, Mechanical, or Stationary Engineering is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with ASME codes (boilers and pressure vessels) is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with proficiency in computer applications (including report writing).
- Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities.
- A valid driver's license is required, with the capacity for travel to various locations, including remote areas that may necessitate flights and overnight stays.
- A commitment to outstanding client service is essential.
