Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Aide to join our team at Community Living Port Colborne-Wainfleet. As a Personal Support Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany clients on outdoor recreational activities, promoting socialization and enjoyment.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Perform various tasks related to patient care and comfort, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments, maintaining effective communication.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, ensuring a clean and comfortable living space.
  • Transport clients between care facilities, providing safe and reliable transportation.
  • Report accidents, distress signals, and other emergencies, prioritizing client safety.
  • Attend scheduled practice and training sessions, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
  • Participate in staff meetings, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's licence for transportation purposes.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate for emergency response.
  • Dental plan and group insurance benefits for employee well-being.

  • Work Term: Permanent, with 30 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
