We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Glass Installation Foreman/Woman to join our team at Canglow Windows and Doors Inc. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of glass products and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise a team of 5-10 installers and ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Project Management
- Coordinate and schedule installation activities to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Oversee the preparation of production and other reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed on site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site-specific safety protocols.
- Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed and up-to-date on project progress.
- Work collaboratively with other teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure that all aspects of the business are aligned and working towards common goals.
- Education and Experience
- College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as construction management or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the construction industry.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings, and to estimate costs and materials.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
