About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Glass Installation Foreman/Woman to join our team at Canglow Windows and Doors Inc. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of glass products and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise a team of 5-10 installers and ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Provide guidance and training to junior staff members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Project Management
    • Coordinate and schedule installation activities to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Oversee the preparation of production and other reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed on site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site-specific safety protocols.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed and up-to-date on project progress.
    • Work collaboratively with other teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure that all aspects of the business are aligned and working towards common goals.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as construction management or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the construction industry.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings, and to estimate costs and materials.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
