Job Summary:

Dillon Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure asset management group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing asset management strategies, contributing to capital plans, and managing asset programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of asset management strategies, levels of service, and risk assessments.
  • Assist in the development of 10-25 year capital plans and define function requirements for asset management data systems.
  • Project manage and implement asset programs, including rehabilitation and replacement planning, inspections, data collection, and analysis.
  • Consolidate data and information from service areas into corporate asset management templates and plans.
  • Develop asset management strategies and system design for asset management programming.
  • Review asset data information for quality assurance and identify improvement areas.
  • Develop and implement processes for data integrity and work closely with corporate stakeholders to develop standardized asset data processes.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in all aspects of infrastructure asset management services.
  • Assist with proposal preparation for asset management services and contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through professional associations and committees.
  • Provide technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring to junior staff.

Requirements:

  • A degree in engineering.
  • Certificate in asset management (IAM, NAMS, or PEMAC) preferred.
  • Valid Ontario Class "G" driver's license.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and computerized applications related to asset management.
  • Experience in infrastructure asset data management systems and capital planning.
  • Familiarity with operational, engineering, and financial processes at municipal, provincial, and federal government levels.
