Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Manager to join our team at Next Power Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and control budget and expenditures for civil engineering projects
  2. Establish and implement policies and procedures for engineering work, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  3. Hire, train, direct, and motivate a team of engineers to achieve project goals
  4. Authorize the development of specifications for civil engineering products or services
  5. Evaluate technical designs and engineering work to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  6. Oversee the analysis of data and information to inform engineering decisions
  7. Prepare and present reports to senior management on project progress and outcomes
  8. Advise senior management on engineering matters, providing expert guidance and recommendations
  9. Manage contracts and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of engineering services
  10. Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure project success
  11. Lead and instruct groups of engineers to achieve project goals and objectives
  12. Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficient and effective use of resources
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. They will also have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The Civil Engineering Manager will work in a consulting firm environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering services to clients. They will be required to work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results.
