Project Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead the design effort for our Natural Gas Pipeline and Facility projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting initial project feasibility studies, cost estimating, project risk analysis, and conceptual, preliminary, and detail design work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Secure engineering contractors through selection process, contract development, and award
  • Oversee 3rd party engineering to ensure work is executed and managed in accordance with approved plans, contracts, schedules, and budgets
  • Perform engineering calculations and designs in collaboration with internal Drafting and Design team
  • Plan and coordinate engagement of internal stakeholders to provide input to and review of engineering deliverables
  • Facilitate project design reviews with Project Stakeholders during FEED and detailed engineering
  • Review engineering contractor invoices and change order requests
  • Lead the resolution of technical/engineering issues during detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning
  • Track key engineering deliverables and adjust engineering plans and/or resources to meet customer needs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with a mechanical, civil, or electrical specialty
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new applications
  • Knowledge of project management concepts, tools, and processes
  • Familiarity with natural gas pipelines
  • Ability to apply engineering principles, codes, and standards to identify issues, recommend improvements, and implement solutions
  • Strong leadership skills with an aptitude for team building
