About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Swim Instructor/Lifeguard I. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for providing swimming lessons and lifeguarding duties at our four pool locations.

About You

You will be a team player committed to community, courteous and effective with the public, and enjoy working with a diverse group of people. You will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our customers by providing swimming lessons and lifeguarding. Your strong communication skills will help you instruct aquatic programs to all ages and special community groups.

Responsibilities
  • Provide swimming lessons and lifeguarding duties at our four pool locations
  • Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our customers
  • Instruct aquatic programs to all ages and special community groups
  • Monitor pool chemistry and ensure pool areas and change rooms are kept clean
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Current Standard First Aid
  • Current CPR-C
  • National Lifeguard Pool Option (NLP) current within two (2) years
  • Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor current within two (2) years
  • Lifesaving Instructor (LSI), must complete within 6 months of hiring
  • Ability to work two shifts per week preferred
