Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Operations Coordination, the Operations Business Intelligence Specialist delivers analytical services to both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating the advancement of corporate strategies and initiatives. The role also involves providing technical assistance to the Executive Management Group, the Special Assistant to the Vice-President, and national service line directors by identifying business needs, developing procedures for data analysis, interpreting and validating data sources, and producing visual tools such as dashboards and reports.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties
• Assist the Manager of Operations Coordination in promoting corporate strategies and initiatives.
• Identify business intelligence needs and create effective data models to generate analytical and visualization tools (e.g., dashboards and reports).
• Comprehend automated data sources and technologies, such as EnterpriseOne and Adaptive Insights, to gather relevant data for analysis and visualization.
• Analyze results from completed assessments and ensure data accuracy.
• Validate data with DCC, Client-Partners, and industry standards.
• Provide insights and recommendations to the Executive Management Group, national directors, and the Special Assistant to the Vice-President.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within DCC and with industry stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards aligned with corporate expectations.
• Manage associated risks effectively.
Additional Responsibilities
• Document policies and processes for stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Knowledge and Expertise
• Familiarity with best practices, methodologies, and trends in DCC business operations.
• Understanding of project management principles.
Education and Experience
• Minimum: A university degree in engineering, data sciences, computer science, business, mathematics, statistics, management, accounting, or a related field, along with a minimum of six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: The aforementioned qualifications plus expertise in infrastructure.
Competencies
• Proficient in applicable software and operating systems.
• Ability to apply project management techniques effectively.
Leadership and Development
• Offer guidance and support to stakeholders, managers, and senior management.
Work Environment
• Standard office setting with occasional travel requirements.
