Nuclear Medicine Technologist I

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures to diagnose and track disease and pathology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual using a range of equipment, including gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices.
- Work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining accurate records and reports, and for contributing to a positive and respectful work environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
- ACMDTT Enhanced Practice or CTIC registration is required.
- PET/CT experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Connect Care training is an asset.
- Strong organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and to demonstrate initiative, good judgment, and a positive attitude.
