Your Opportunity:
Position Overview:
As an MRI Imaging Specialist I, you will be responsible for generating and documenting magnetic resonance images for evaluation by a Radiologist or Cardiologist, aiding in the diagnosis and monitoring of medical conditions. Your role will involve producing high-quality diagnostic MRI scans as prescribed by a Physician, ensuring the proper preparation and positioning of patients for examinations, reviewing patient medical histories, explaining the imaging processes, and addressing both the physical and emotional needs of patients during the scanning procedure. Additionally, you will be tasked with the upkeep of MRI equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Required Qualifications:A diploma from an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program is required, or a certificate from an accredited MRI Technologist program along with a diploma from an accredited Medical Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy program. You must be actively registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). A current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is also necessary.
