Job Summary:
Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to join our team in a temporary position. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual using a wide range of equipment such as gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices.
- Work effectively in a team environment to provide high-quality patient care.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) Program.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
- ACMDTT Enhanced Practice or CTIC; PET/CT experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Connect Care training is an asset.
- Strong organizational, technical, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate initiative, good judgement, positive attitude, and concern for detail and accuracy.
