Key Responsibilities:- Transcribe and process clinician orders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of requisitions and scheduling of tests or services.
- Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients, preparing and communicating related instructions to patients and their families.
- Gather patient information for medical appointments, facilitating efficient patient flow and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Perform receptionist duties, including greeting and registering patients, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
- Participate in the onboarding and orientation of new staff members, demonstrating work procedures and answering related queries.
- Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk Program, plus one year's recent, related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to keyboard 40 wpm and operate related equipment.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
