We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Unit Clerk to join our team at BC Cancer - Prince George. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Transcribe and process clinician orders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of requisitions for tests or services.
- Organize diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients, coordinating interrelated appointments and communicating instructions to patients.
- Gather patient information for medical appointments, facilitating efficient patient flow and preparing documents for clinical teams.
- Perform receptionist duties, including greeting and registering patients, answering phone inquiries, and responding to triage requests.
- Participate in onboarding and orientation of staff, demonstrating work procedures and answering related queries.
- Completion of Grade 12
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk Program
- One (1) year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
