Job Title: Retail Floor Team Member

About the Role:

Talize is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Floor Team Member to join our team. As a Retail Floor Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the retail floor, fitting rooms, and washrooms.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling exchanges, refunds, and cancellations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and inventory management to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including securing store funds and ensuring the store is ready for business.
  • Identify and report hazards, and take precautionary measures to prevent external and internal theft.
  • Assist with receiving donations, processing phone calls, and rolling racks as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience working in retail.
  • Previous work in a thrift retail environment is considered an asset.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift.
  • Constant bending, reaching, and using hands for repetitive actions.
  • Lifting and carrying items up to 50lbs without assistance throughout shift.
  • Pushing and pulling merchandise containers on wheels weighing up to 500lbs.
Work Environment:
  • Exposure to dust — all designated shift.
  • Exposure to periodic temperature fluctuations and noise levels.
  • Candidates required to have open availability.
  • Interaction with customers, clients, and the public at large.
