About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Exterior Carpenter to join our team at RIGHT CHOICE EXTERIOR LTD. As an Exterior Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining exterior structures such as buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, and other exterior features
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites
  • Supervise and train other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Maintain and repair exterior structures in various settings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment with tight deadlines
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and lifting heavy loads
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Use personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in exterior carpentry or a related field
  • Permanent employment with a regular 40-hour workweek
  • English language proficiency
