Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Civil/Structural EIT to join our team in Prince George, BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for helping with the design services for bridge design, road design, infrastructure, industrial/commercial structures, land development, and field services projects in the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of engineering designs and related documents for various projects
  • Perform field reviews during various stages of projects throughout construction
  • Collaborate with structural or civil team to assist with the development of engineering design and related documents
  • Ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets to high quality standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural and registered as an EIT with EGBC in the province of British Columbia
  • Minimum 1+ years of structural/civil engineering experience is an asset, but not necessary. New graduates will be considered
  • Experience performing construction layout reviews or surveys considered an asset
  • Experience reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFI's considered an asset
  • Experience in the design of concrete, steel, and timber structures is desired considered an asset
  • Experience supporting the delivery of projects on schedule, on budget, in scope at the required quality and achieving client satisfaction
  • Experience with AutoCAD considered an asset
  • Experience working in Northern BC or remote environments considered an asset
  • Experience with material testing (soils and concrete) considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written)
  • Proven ability to interact with clients and to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
  • Technical competence and strong attention to detail
