Role Overview

The Lead Identity Access Administrator will oversee the user lifecycle within Okta and associated systems, ensuring adherence to compliance protocols while maintaining meticulous documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT team members to ensure prompt resolution of access requests.
  • Engage with various departments to define and document access profile standards.
  • Administer identity management in Okta.
  • Control access to applications.
  • Develop and document access profiles tailored to departmental and organizational requirements.
  • Provide operational support for Tier 1 and act as the primary contact for escalations.
  • Ensure that deliverables are met within designated timeframes and consistently uphold high-quality standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding of identity management principles, access controls, role-based access control (RBAC), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and entitlement management.
  • Experience with major IAM platforms such as ForgeRock, Ping, Okta, SailPoint, or Saviynt.
  • In-depth knowledge of IAM concepts, standards, and protocols including SAML, OAuth, LDAP, and RBAC.
  • Proficient in programming languages relevant to IAM development, such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based IAM solutions and their integration with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Understanding of systems security and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify broader trends.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of user profiling techniques for effective onboarding planning.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid grasp of triage methodologies for user IT issues and capability to manage escalations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IAM, with 7 years preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in audit and compliance is essential.
