Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join our team at Johnson Controls. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for reading blueprints and wiring diagrams to build electronic components from a blueprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to build electronic components.
  • Recommend replacement or modification of electronic equipment and repair or replace electronic components.
  • Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment.
  • Set up and perform circuit tests.
  • Apply knowledge of current electrical code and CSA standards.
  • Ensure quality of the product.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Johnson Controls safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

Requirements

  • Completion of college degree or diploma at a vocational or technical training.
  • 2-3 years of related experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience using power and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of RF, high voltage, analogue, and digital components.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Working Conditions

  • Commercial/Industrial environment.
  • Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.
  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
  • Long periods of standing.
  • Overtime as required.
