Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join our team at Johnson Controls. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for building electronic components from blueprints and wiring diagrams, making recommendations for replacement or modification of electronic equipment, and maintaining and calibrating instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to build electronic components.
  • Make recommendations for replacement or modification of electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Set up and perform circuit tests to identify and troubleshoot issues.
  • Apply knowledge of current electrical code and CSA standards to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure the quality of the product by adhering to quality control standards.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Johnson Controls' safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

Requirements

  • Completion of college degree or diploma in a related field.
  • 2-3 years of related experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience using power and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of RF, high voltage, analogue, and digital components.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Working Conditions

  • Commercial/Industrial environment.
  • Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.
  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
  • Long periods of standing.
  • Overtime as required.
