IT Security Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our IT Team at InterGen. This is an exciting opportunity to provide support in the cyber security space, helping us drive our Operational IT Strategy. Our systems and technologies are at the core of our organisation, and we want you to have a holistic understanding of our organisational security needs and help us shape a positive and engaging security culture across the whole of InterGen.
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting all security and resilience aspects across the business, including strategy, policy, standards, and assurance. You will conduct risk assessments, audits, and testing of security infrastructure. You'll collaborate with the Cyber Security Manager on incidents, root cause analysis, and continual service improvement and help develop resilience and incident response plans to promote a positive security culture through education and awareness programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic and operational planning for business goals by fostering innovation, prioritising security, and coordinating security system evaluation and deployment.
- Assist in establishing security goals, objectives, and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and identifying cost-effective security system investments.
- Help us in defining and assisting security plans, policies and standards for acquiring and implementing new IT/OT systems.
- Provide general support in relation to OT and Security, using your expertise to identify and recommend solutions for re-occurring issues.
- Ensure we are adhering to policies, architectural standards and guidelines, operational processes and procedures, including relevant build and security standards, as well as compliance with any regulatory standards and frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or relevant workplace experience.
- Experience in a wide range of Cyber Security areas and Security Certification.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards implementation such as NIST.
- Ability to demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for security, including the ability to keep current with the latest threats, technologies, and trends.
- High level of knowledge and practical experience in the following technologies: Networking (LAN/WAN), Servers (Windows 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022), Firewalls, VMware, Microsoft (O365, AD, Azure, InTune), Security Tools and Technologies and controls Defender, Cloud App Control, Security Scores, Purview, Data Classification and Retention, Identity Management, and Conditional Access Controls, SIEM, MFA/2FA, Threat Management, Business Continuity, Backup & Recovery Techniques, Replication Techniques, NIS CAF Framework, Vulnerability Management.
