Job Title: Landscape Labourer

MELFER PROPERTY MAINTENANCE INC. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance crew, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our clients' properties.

Work Environment

As a Landscape Labourer, you will work outdoors in various locations, including urban and rural areas. You will be exposed to dust, heights, and other physical demands of the job. Our team is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment, and we expect all employees to adhere to our safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns to ensure they are well-manicured.
  • Lay sod or seed to repair damaged areas and improve the overall appearance of the property.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty of the property.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including small engine equipment and sod cutters.
  • Remove trees and other vegetation as needed.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as landscaping or grounds maintenance.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
