Job Title: Landscape Labourer

MELFER PROPERTY MAINTENANCE INC. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance crew, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our properties.

Work Environment

As a Landscape Labourer, you will work outdoors in various locations, including urban and rural areas. You will be exposed to dust, heights, and other physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns to ensure they are well-manicured.
  • Lay sod or seed to repair damaged areas and promote healthy growth.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our properties.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including small engine equipment and sod cutters.
  • Remove trees and other vegetation as needed.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
