The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations Specialist to join our team at our Dawson Creek, BC location. As a Field Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining our production wells, liquid separation, compression, condensate stabilization, water injection, and source water wells. You'll also be responsible for monitoring field well performance and facility conditions, troubleshooting process problems, and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain production wells, liquid separation, compression, condensate stabilization, water injection, and source water wells in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor field well performance and facility conditions using SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot process problems and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Maintain superior housekeeping standards throughout the field and facilities.
  • Responsible for minor maintenance and the coordination of other maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure effective communication with operations, maintenance, and management staff.
  • Track and maintain key performance indicators such as production, downtime, and production losses.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must live within the Dawson Creek or surrounding area.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Minimum 2 years of operational experience.
  • Routine operational and maintenance experience.
  • Good understanding of liquid separation, condensate stabilization, compression, source, and injection wells and pipeline maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use and application of PC programs specifically in PVR, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability and confidence to work with minimal supervision and proven strong leadership abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and is open to take on a variety of operational challenges.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with proven analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required, ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Ovintiv offers a competitive compensation package, including a hiring salary range of $72,000 - $105,000 CAD. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a market-leading vacation/time-off program.
