As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining drilling mud systems and pumps, as well as writing daily basic progress reports.

Work Environment

As a Drilling Operations Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in confined spaces. The work site environment is outdoors, with exposure to wet/damp, noisy, hot, and cold/refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

You will be working with a drilling and well service contractor in a remote location, with various locations throughout the year. You will be part of a team of 5-10 people, and you will be required to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain drilling mud systems and pumps
  • Write daily basic progress reports
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Handle heavy loads and work in confined spaces
  • Work outdoors in wet/damp, noisy, hot, and cold/refrigerated conditions
  • Work in a remote location with various locations throughout the year
  • Work as part of a team of 5-10 people
  • Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
  • Standard First Aid Certificate
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • Rig Worker Fall Protection
  • Valid driver's licence
