Job Summary

Lindsay Cleaners and Dyers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver Salesperson to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, as well as operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Delivery and Pickup: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of items received and delivered, ensuring that all transactions are properly documented.
  • Sorting and Packaging: Sort packages for delivery, ensuring that they are properly labeled and prepared for transport.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring that they are in good working condition and meet all regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Local transportation and travel experience.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, dependability, excellent oral communication, and punctuality.
