Your Role: Disability Analyst
As a Disability Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing long-term disability (LTD) and life waiver claims. You will be responsible for reviewing medical information, assessing eligibility, and developing case management plans to support our members.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough reviews of LTD claims, analyzing contractual and medical documentation to make informed decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized case management plans for each assigned claim, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
- Communicate effectively with members, affiliates, boards, and other stakeholders, providing clear explanations and updates on claim status.
- Collaborate with Rehabilitation Consultants to support members in their return-to-work efforts.
- Work closely with Disability Benefits Coordinators to ensure accurate benefit payments and timely processing of approvals and terminations.
- Utilize internal and external resources, such as medical consultants, lawyers, and vocational specialists, to effectively manage complex claims.
- Proven experience in disability claim management or a related field.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
