Job Title: Ironworker

We are seeking an experienced Ironworker to join our team at High Angle Ironworks & Welding Ltd. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for erecting and installing scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms, as well as performing job-site calculations and inspecting or testing structures and equipment for deterioration, defects, or failure to comply with specifications or regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
  • Perform job-site calculations
  • Signal crane operators to position units according to blueprints
  • Inspect or test structures and equipment for deterioration, defects, or failure to comply with specifications or regulations
  • Unload and position steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification
  • Ironworker Trade Certification
  • Working at heights training
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and manual dexterity. You will be working outdoors in various locations, including new construction sites, and will be exposed to noise, cold, and hot temperatures.
