Job Title: Ironworker

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our team at High Angle Ironworks & Welding Ltd. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for erecting and installing scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms, as well as performing job-site calculations and signaling crane operators to position units according to blueprints.

Work Environment

Our Ironworkers work in a variety of locations, including new construction sites, and are exposed to outdoor conditions, heights, and noise. They must be physically demanding and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
  • Perform job-site calculations
  • Signal crane operators to position units according to blueprints
  • Inspect or test structures and equipment for deterioration, defects, or failure to comply with specifications or regulations
  • Unload and position steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification
  • Ironworker Trade Certification
  • Working at heights training
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
