We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at Best Look Roofing & Construction Ltd. as a Construction Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare Building Plans: Develop and implement detailed plans for construction projects, adhering to building codes and regulations.
- Measure and Cut Materials: Accurately measure and cut materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to ensure precise fit and finish.
- Assemble and Install Components: Assemble and install various components, including foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems.
- Install Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the construction project.
- Coordinate Worksite Activities: Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure efficient project completion.
- Train and Mentor: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Estimate Costs and Materials: Accurately estimate costs and materials required for each project.
- Maintain and Repair Structures: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial buildings, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Experience: While experience is an asset, we are open to considering candidates with a strong background in carpentry and construction.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
