Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

About the Role:
The Mechanical Engineer will be a key member of our product development team, working closely with engineers and designers to develop new products and improve existing ones. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new mechanical components and assemblies for our products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer needs and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and failure mode and effects analysis to ensure design reliability
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for new products and design changes
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements
  • Build and test prototypes to ensure design requirements are met
  • Identify and analyze product, manufacturing, or process issues and implement corrective actions

Requirements:
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, P.Eng. status required
  • 5-6 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in medical device manufacturing or instrumentation
  • Proven experience in designing mechanical components or assemblies from concept to manufacturing
  • Proficient in 3D solid modeling CAD (SolidWorks 2017 or above) and detailing
  • Good understanding of the design process and ISO quality systems (ISO 9001 or ISO 13485)
