Job Summary

Eldorado Gold Québec is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician - Control Room to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our underground operations and control room.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, operate, and optimize ventilation, pumping, and backfill systems for underground operations.
  • Perform end-of-shift blasting.
  • Be familiar with and implement the Emergency Response Plan section related to the control room.
  • Collect real-time data from mobile or fixed equipment in the absence of the control room supervisor.
  • Compile data for daily follow-ups and reports.
  • Keep 7/21 KPIs up-to-date.
  • Be a resource person for all operation-related information.
  • Work proactively to propose improvements related to assigned tasks to optimize safety, quality, and efficiency of operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Apply and respect all standards, regulations, codes, and laws in effect at Eldorado Gold and in Quebec.
  • Perform any other activities assigned by your supervisor.
  • Ensure that no confidential information is disclosed or provided to anyone not authorized to have this information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of computer systems and various software used in mining operations.
