Job Opportunity at Eldorado Gold Quebec

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Control Room Technician at our underground operations. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the success of our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Monitoring: Monitor and optimize ventilation, pumping, and other systems to ensure efficient and safe underground operations.
  • End-of-Shift Blasting: Conduct end-of-shift blasting operations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Data Collection: Collect real-time equipment data in the absence of the control room supervisor, and compile data for daily reports and analysis.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in mining operations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in mining operation software, customer-oriented, continuous improvement mindset, attention to detail, effective stress management, prioritization skills, risk management abilities, and strong analytical skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day and night rotation.
  • Working Environment: Sedentary position, controlled temperature, and screen work.
