About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiological Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in radiological technology, with experience in computed tomography (CT) scanning and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CT scanners and other radiological equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Position patients to obtain optimal images while ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure seamless patient care
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Experience in CT scanning and radiological technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
