Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Manager to join our team at Performance Auto Group. As a key member of our sales and finance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and driving sales growth through effective financial planning and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as liaison between customers and financial institutions to obtain financing, insurance, and other personal information.
  • Prepare credit applications and provide alternate solutions for customers who are not immediately approved for financing.
  • Examine all required paperwork with customers to complete transactions.
  • Build relationships with customers to close deals and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with customers to up-sell financing, extended warranty, insurance, and chemical options.
  • Maintain confidentiality on sensitive customer information.
  • Establish procedures to evaluate deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines.
  • Maintain a lender guide of relevant programs and retain product knowledge.
  • Analyze credit reports to recognize conventional deals and turn them over accordingly.
  • Prepare cost special finance deals and profit sheets.
  • Coordinate with auditors to ensure annual monitoring.
  • Assess changes in financial regulations and legislation to stay up-to-date.
  • Advise Sales Consultants on how to obtain higher gross sales.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Sales Manager and General Sales Manager to provide updates on performance and areas of opportunity.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports as requested by management.
  • Train Sales Consultants on finance, insurance, and protection products.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Service departments to schedule delivery dates and pre-delivery clean-up services.
  • Be knowledgeable of provincial regulations regarding finance and the fair credit reporting act.
  • Comply with strict regulations and requirements of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC).
  • Ability to work in adherence to company safety standards at all times.
  • Comply with all company policies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years sales experience, preferably in an automotive or financial services environment.
  • Minimum 1-2 years Dealer Financial Service experience.
  • OMVIC Certification required.
  • Dealer CRM system experience required.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record required.
  • Knowledge of financial institutions, insurance policies, and warranty options.
  • Ability to read, understand, and calculate banking figures such as discounts, interest rates, percentages, and commissions.
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in G-suite and Microsoft Excel.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Personable, reliable, courteous.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.
