Job Overview

The Lead Security Architect is tasked with supervising the technical elements of the architects who translate business objectives into a tailored security strategy. This strategy outlines the essential components that guarantee the security of computing operations and the facilitation of business initiatives. The position is responsible for defining, maintaining, and supporting the information security architecture framework and associated processes to ensure that other architectural groups align with the governance framework and risk management protocols. The incumbent serves as a senior resource, assisting others with complex technical challenges and enabling various teams to enhance the security posture. This role is pivotal in developing and sustaining the architectural framework necessary for delivering and maintaining Itechpost's security capabilities while guiding other architectural practices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop Security Architectures – 65%
    1. Serve as a thought leader in security architecture, providing insights and mentorship to stakeholders and peer architects.
    2. Lead security transformation initiatives through enterprise architecture efforts and documentation.
    3. Define the security transformation roadmap by crafting the security vision, patterns, use cases, principles, strategy, operating model, and architecture.
    4. Comprehend Itechpost's business and information technology to translate it into a security target architecture that facilitates the rapid integration of new technologies.
    5. Implement automation to generate insights, make informed decisions, and execute process activities.
    6. Focus on overarching architecture while collaborating with peer architects on specific components.
    7. Establish best-in-class security architecture processes for designing large-scale and complex technology systems.
    8. Collaborate with peer architects to maintain appropriate relationships among business, information, application, technology, and solution architects to create consistent security architecture artifacts.
    9. Ensure compliance with corporate information standards and policies, as well as all facets of enterprise architecture.
  2. Technical Leadership – 20%
    1. Identify and assess new practices and technological disruptors that may influence the security architecture.
    2. Integrate new best practices into the security architecture framework.
    3. Provide critical input on technologies at Itechpost to drive security transformation.
    4. Position the adoption of new technology within the security architecture.
    5. Offer practical guidance regarding security architecture and automation.
    6. Collaborate with peer architects to establish a comprehensive governance model ensuring solutions adhere to the defined security architecture.
  3. Relationship Management – 15%
    1. Educate stakeholders on how security architecture supports Itechpost's business strategy and desired outcomes.
    2. Clarify the purpose, value, and application of various security architecture models.
    3. Influence the Information and Technology (I&T) teams to foster understanding of the security architecture strategy and its outcomes.
    4. Communicate deliverables effectively with stakeholders across Architecture, Integration, Operation, Supply Management, Legal, and various business lines.
Working Environment

This role operates under standard office conditions with a typical workweek from Monday to Friday. Given the nature of the responsibilities, the incumbent must be capable of meeting tight deadlines and managing pressure effectively. Occasional travel may be required for meetings with partners or attendance at industry events or conferences.

Qualifications and Experience

Architecture and Security Transformation

  1. A minimum of 15 years of experience in various architecture roles, with recent involvement in security transformation.
  2. Extensive experience in developing a security vision, principles, strategy, operating model, and architecture.
  3. Significant experience in applying a structured approach to problem-solving.
Education/Certification/Designation
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant project experience.
  2. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  3. Certifications in Offensive Security (e.g., Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)) are considered an asset.

Technical Skills/Knowledge
  1. Ability to define and organize an architecture security framework using reusable components.
  2. Understanding of the security implications of complex business operations and their connection to technological solutions that provide risk mitigation and business enablement.
  3. Familiarity with processes, methodologies, tools, and techniques for building large-scale information technology systems.
  4. Solid knowledge of the technologies and architectural principles necessary for constructing complex information technology systems.
  5. Awareness of standards, regulations, and legislation governing Information Security (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001, OWASP).
  6. Familiarity with architectural frameworks (e.g., Togaf, Zachman) is considered an asset.
  7. Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST, MITRE) is considered an asset.
  8. Understanding of the Rail, Transportation, or Logistics industry is considered an asset.

This position is classified at a grade LEVEL 5. For internal candidates, please note that the grade level of the position may adjust based on the employee's experience.
