Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Security Solution Architect to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our security architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex security solutions across our on-premise and multi-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect complex security solutions to protect our organization's assets and data.

  • Stay up-to-date with current and emerging threats to ensure our security solutions are secure, extensible, scalable, and resilient.

  • Provide thought leadership and guidance on security-related topics to our technical teams.

  • Partner with technical experts across the organization to ensure security architecture requirements are accounted for in program/project planning.

  • Develop and maintain security roadmaps to ensure alignment with our organization's business, technical, and security strategies.

  • Lead and participate in technical architecture review boards to approve architectural decisions made on programs and projects.

  • Stay ahead of changes in the security landscape to consult and provide direction on design and conceptual architectures for cutting-edge and next-generation security capabilities.

  • Champion an architecture-led approach that fosters a culture of adopting architecture best practices as a required building block in the implementation of security solutions.

  • Manage various global stakeholders across levels (including executives) and engage in business development and resolution of operational risk issues.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of demonstrated experience in security solutions architecture or enterprise security architecture.

  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting large and complex security solutions across on-premise and multi-cloud environments.

  • Expert knowledge across multiple security domains, including network security, endpoint security, application security, and cloud security.

  • Experience with AI and machine learning solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience in shaping security strategies and roadmaps.

  • Demonstrated experience with threat modeling.

  • Ability to partner effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technology teams and suppliers, on complex projects with excellent consultancy/advisory, facilitation, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
