About the Role
Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for enhancement.
- Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care is delivered.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote resident-centered care.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Experience in long-term care or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
